Audi Q4 E-Tron (mid-2024)

According to Drive Australia, the Q4 E-Tron is set to be the most affordable electric Audi to hit our shores, joining its pricier counterparts – Q8 E-Tron and E-Tron GT.

Details of the Australia line-up are still to be confirmed, however, the European vehicle will be available with two power outputs (210kW single-motor rear-wheel-drive and 250kW dual-motor all-wheel-drive), both powered by a 77kWh battery.

2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class (early 2024)

Unveiled early in 2023, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan – complete with an internal combustion engine – was revealed to the delight of drivers still showing a bit of trepidation towards an all-electric vehicle.

The fresh four-door model features standard hybrid powertrain options, a teched-up cabin, and a revamped design (already considered a little ‘sexier’ than its battery-powered counterpart).

One of the most notable tech features is the addition of a ‘selfie camera’ available with the MBUX Superscreen that allows you to take pictures, play games and join video conference calls while the vehicle is stationary.

2024 Volkswagen T7 Multivan (late 2024)

For adventurers who dream of long, nostalgic drives along the coast, you’ll be thrilled to hear about the arrival of the new 2024 Volkswagen T7 Multivan.

This refreshed, 7-seater will launch with a 110kW/360Nm turbo-diesel, seven-speed DSG auto, front-drive powertrain across two model variants – Life and style. You’ll also have your pick of 14 paint colours for this iconic upgrade.

According to Carsales.com, notable features of the Multivan Life include keyless entry and start, power sliding doors, park distance control and a rear camera. Drivers of the Multivan Style will also enjoy ambient lighting, LEO Matrix headlights, a more advanced digital cockpit, 17-inch alloy wheels, climate control air-conditioning, area view rear camera and Park Assist.

2024 BMW X2 & iX2 (early 2024)

The coupe-styled version of the X1 and iX1 is set to touchdown in Australia with the option of electric power for the first time (in addition to two petrol all-wheel-drive models).

According to Drive.com, the main difference between the X1 and the new X2 is the latter’s sportier sloping roofline.

In comparison to the X1, you can also expect a $5,500 nudge upwards in price on its base model, the BMW X2 xDrive 20i. That being said, it’s bigger in every dimension, rivalling the size of a Mazda CX-5.

Inside, all variants will receive BMW’s new-generation iDrive 9 operating system, which combines a 10.7-inch digital dash with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen.

You’ll be able to see one on the showroom floor following the European rollout in March 2024, with prices starting at $75,900.

2024 Porsche Panamera (early 2024)

The last of its kind powered by petrol, the new Panamera sports sedan promises a teched-up experience, even more power, and a fresh interior.

Initially, you’ll have your choice of two models: the rear-wheel-drive twin-turbo V6 petrol Panamera or the all-wheel-drive twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid.

It might be a mouthful to say, but the latter promises a flawless driving experience (that will admittedly cost you $402,300 plus on-road costs).

Most notably, the interior now comes complete with three displays: a 12.6-inch curved digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment touchscreen, and an optional 10.9-inch touchscreen for the front passenger, who can now stream videos that, rest assured, can’t be seen by the driver.
